Tokyo Daibutsu (bronze Buddha), Ueno Park.
Attribute: Long term luck and fortitude
The Daibutsu's little temple is on a slope between Toshogu Temple and Kiyomizu Kannon Temple. Ueno only became a park after the Meiji Emporer came to power. Back in Samurai days, Ueno was located near one of the old city gates and the area was full of temples and shrines both large and small.
There is not a lot of Dai (big) left in the Ueno Daibutsu bronze Buddha statue. Back in 1631, the massive bronze Buddha was just as large and in charge as those in Kyoto and Kamakura. Then bad things happened: Earthquakes, fires, more earthquakes, and the final blow in WWII when they melted much of it down for the war effort. Ouch. Buddha for bullets Not C.C. (celestially correct).
