The birth of a baby Panda at Ueno Zoo during the summer has resulted in complete Pandamonium around Ueno.( Check out the little girl here.)

And what better way to celebrate the love of pandas than with CAKE!
All the best panda confections are gathered INSIDE Ueno station, in and around the E-Cute shopping area. In the station, walk to the back of the shopping and dining area at the rear of theconcourse for the Park-Side Exit. Even if you don’t like sweets, a walk through this part of the station should be on your itinerary. Every bakery has a panda treat.
Kinokuniya Supermarket (yes, there is a market in the station) has a big display of Panda goodies including sliced Panda Bread.
Outside of Ueno, Yokohama Chinatown is the best place to find Panda treats and collectibles. Chinatown has 'Panda-man' ('man' is a soft steamed bun with different fillings). They come stuffed with custard, chocolate, strawberry and bean jam etc. for a few hundred yen. The pensive Panda-man in the picture is strawberry flavored.
The little baby is not on view to the public yet and mom, Shin Shin, is still sequestered. However, you can get your panda fix with the dad Ri Ri if you visit Ueno Zoo.
